The study investigated the adhesion of Chitosan for removable dentures or intraoral splints. Properties like hemostatic effects and antimicrobial functions of ChitosanS should be used to optimize the devices. Results of more than 70 of PMMA- and PET- specimens, coated with aluminum oxide, silica and chitosan, are shown. A reliable coating of the specimens were realized with Chitosan.
