Why did we decide on the location Halle (Saale) and Central Germany and to concentrate on the pharmaceutical and medical device sector?

Halle (Saale) is an ideal location for Heppe Medical Chitosan GmbH. We are located in the traditional "chemistry triangle" of Central Germany. Being in close proximity to companies such as Pharma Dessau, Bayer and Dow is important to us. The cooperation with researchers from universities and technical colleges in Saxony Anhalt and Saxony means short distances and many new ideas. 

Our neighbors include the Martin-Luther-University Halle, the Biocenter Halle, the Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics, the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials, the Institute for Plant Biochemistry and the Environmental Research Center Leipzig-Halle. The entire area is called Weinberg Campus, a future-orientated settlement of companies, research and teaching facilities. In the past few years, biotechnology companies have grouped together here in Saxony Anhalt and Saxony.

Decision

Since 1999 our chitosan research has made us decide on highest qualities for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. This decision and the new classifications we use offer the customer transparency and orientation. The high qualities ensure that our customers receive products with the highest requirements. Certification according to ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and production according to GMP regulations are at the heart of this.

These advantages mean we can guarantee the constant, long-term quality of our products.
