HMC+ summary of PBP World Meeting 2012
The international World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technolgy has been a great success for scientists, medics, producers and marketing specialists of the pharmaceutical sector. Overall 1300 visitors from 56 countries and 5 continents attended the meeting. Many guests also visited the HMC+ exhibit stand to get information about chitosan, chitosan derivatives and their possible applications in medical and pharmaceutical product developments.
At the four congress days 40 speakers from industry and academia gave their lectures. Additionally there were 72 short lectures. One of them was particularly focused on chitosan:
- Enhanced Gene Delivery of Chitosans for Retinal Gene Therapy Purposes.
J. Zarate, G. Puras, M. Aceves, M. Agirre, A. Diaz, M. Aviles-Triguero, E. Fernandez and J. L. Pedraz
On every meeting day there were so called poster sessions, where more then 850 posters about pharmaceutical topics have been exposed. The focus was also on the biopolymer chitosan. In the following the titles, authors and topics of some of these posters will shortly be mentioned.
