HMC Product Specification and Certificate of Analysis
In this article we would like to give you a brief overview of the structure of our Product Specification Sheets and the Certificate of Analysis.
WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM A PRODUCT SPECIFICATION AND A CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS?
For each of our products, the specifications are recorded in a separate product specification sheet. These specifications can be accessed at any time in our shop or in the download area.
In addition, each of our product batches receives a certificate of analysis from our quality control department. This confirms that our product meets its product specifications.
The certificate of analysis contains the specifications and measured values for the specified parameters. It is sent to our customers together with the product.
HOW ARE OUR PRODUCT SPECIFICATION SHEETS STRUCTURED?
At the top right of the document you will get the company information of Heppe Medical Chitosan GmbH. Then you will find the general product information, such as product line, the CAS and product number. In addition, information regarding storage, shelf life and the validity date of the product specification sheet is also listed there.
General product information:
Product line - The first product information is the quality line to which the product belongs. Our product lines are called Chitoscience®, Chitoceuticals® and Chitoceutical® GMP compliant. Click here to learn more.
Product - name of the chitosan product or derivative
CAS - unique numeric identifier assigned by the chemical abstract system
Product No. - article number of the product
Storage conditions - storage conditions to maintain the quality of the product
Shelf life - shelf life of the product from the date of manufacture
Valid from - date from which the Product Specification Sheet is valid
The general product information is followed by the product specifications. There, in a three-column table, you will find the parameters for which the product has been tested, the associated methods and the specification limits.

WHERE CAN YOU FIND OUR PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS?
You can find our Product Specification Sheets either in the download area under specifications or in the chitosan shop. There you will find the product specification as a pdf document attached to the article description.
