Iberoamerican Chitin Symposium
The recent dramatic events led to the postponement of the Iberoamerican Symposium in Santiago de Chile. Our thoughts are with the Chilean people. We hope for the safety and health of everybody.
A devastating earthquake shook Chile only one week before the planned Symposium in Santiago de Chile. One of the most concerned cities was Concepción, hometown of some of the organisers and participants. The HMC+ team hopes everybody is in good health. First priority now are the safety and the reconstruction of damaged structures. Therefore, the congress was postponed by three months.
The 5th Iberoamerican Chitin Symposium invites researchers and interested people. This time the congress is held in Santiago de Chile.
New dates are expected to be: June 6 -9 2010.
Participants can look forward to interesting oral a poster presentations about the following themes:
- Sources, production and technological processes.
- Enzymology, biochemistry, biological and ecological aspects.
- Chemical and physicochemical properties.
- Chemical modifications and advanced materials.
- Nanotechnology.
- Applications in Life Science (medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, food, biotechnology, environment).
- Applications in Material Science (biosensors, composites, textile etc).
- SIAQIntellectual properties and commercialization aspects.
