New DFG focus on chitin and chitosan
The DFG is establishing eight new priority programs for 2023. A total of 53 million euros will be available to them over the next 3 years. The aim of the priority programs is to investigate the scientific basis of particularly current or emerging research areas. We are therefore very excited that one of them is focused on the topic of chitin and chitosan.

The European Chitin Society (EUCHIS) hosts an interesting webinar series about current chitin and chitosan related research topics, every last Tuesday of a month. Starting on April 27 with presentations by Prof. Bruno Moerschbacher and Prof. Rupert Kargl!

The European Chitin Society offers a new webinar series
The European Chitin Society (EUCHIS) is a non-profit organization, whose objective is to encourage basic and applied scientific studies of all aspects of chitin, including chitosan, derivatives of chitin and chitosan, and related enzymes. To stay virtually connected in times of social distancing, the European chitin society starts an interesting webinar series about current chitin and chitosan related research topics.

The EUCHIS 2019 is postponed
Unfortunately it is announced today that the 14th European Chitin Society conference (EUCHIS) has to be postponed to 2020.
