Die österreichische Firma Lenzing kombiniert die natürlichen Rohstoffe Zellulose (Holz) und Chitosan (Krustentiere) und schafft damit die neuartige Faser Tencel®C. Auf der internationalen Textilmesse in Paris wurde die Faser dem Markt vorgestellt. Mit zwei innovativen Textilherstellern werden erste Textilprodukte entwickelt.

In the februar of this year 81 papers about chitosan and its derivates were published. As in the months before also in February china was with 21 publications the most active country in this field of research followed by the USA with 12 publications and India with 4.

HTGF_HTPC_11HMC+ seized the opportunity to present its product portfolio of chitin and chitosan to the pharmaceutical industry. February 1, 2011 the annual Partnering Conference of the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) took place in Bonn. Aim of the event is to offer a platform where innovative HTGF portfolio-companies may get in contact with renowned companies from industry and economy. Katja Richter, CEO and Caterina Kästner, Head of Marketing and Sales, followed the invitation of the HTGF.
